About Our Agency

Skip-a-Long Childhood Centers and the Home Child Care Network are programs of SAL Community Services, a nonprofit organization that began in 1970.

The mission of SAL Community Services is to strengthen children, families, and individuals to build and enhance thriving communities.

Today, SAL Community Services establishes strong foundations for lifelong development with high quality early care and education. We work with children ages six weeks to 12 years old in four separate early care and education centers, we support families and adults with immediate needs at our Open Door crisis assistance locations, and we consult with and train child care professionals in centers and homes throughout the region to ensure our communities remain vibrant places for everyone.
