What is the Home Child Care Network?
The Home Child Care Network (HCCN) is a free program that works with licensed home child care providers to help them develop curriculum, purchase safety and teaching supplies, and provide one-on-one business management consultation so they can provide the best possible care for their children. HCCN is part of SAL Community Services, a nonprofit organization that began in 1970 as Skip-a-Long Daycare. HCCN and Skip-a-Long Childhood Centers are dedicated to making sure all children have what they need to be successful in school and in life.
Home Child Care Network Coordinators can help parents looking for care find a high quality, licensed home setting to meet their needs. Licensed homes in the Network offer multiple shifts of care (1st, 2nd, 3rd shifts, weekends, etc.), have smaller classrooms to keep siblings together, and homes are located throughout the Illinois Quad Cities and surrounding rural areas to make finding care close to work or home easy and affordable.
If you are a licensed family child care provider and meet qualifications to be part of the Home Child Care Network, you can access many free supports, free training and professional development, and resources to grow your home business.
